Using the Web for Professional Development

 

  

ICT for ELT in the Horn of Africa: Options and Approaches: A Workshop organized by University of Khartoum, the British Council,Khartoum and Clarity Language Consultants

 

 

                                                      

These are two hands-on practice days. English language teachers in Khartoum will be introduced  to Web 2.0 technologies to use for their professional development and to implement into their EFL classrooms. Teachers will explore Web 2.0 tools, learn interactively about how to use social bookmarking, tagging, Google applications and social networking. Teachers will be engaged through practical applications for all the tools introduced.

 

Objectives: 

At the end of day 3 & 4, English language teachers will be introduced to different online tools that will  help in developing them professionally and enhance thier teaching practice.  They will also join SudaELTech Yahoo Group, an online community of practice that will continue after the workshop, for  learning, sharing, interacting and networking with EFL teachers in Sudan and in other parts of the world.
